On February the 17th, Queen Letizia of Spain attended with her husband King Felipe VI the ceremony for the National Research Awards at the Royal Palace of El Pardo in Madrid. The awards were granted by the Secretary of State for Universities, Research, Development and Innovation. The National Research Awards are Spain´s highest honor for scientific research. These awards created in 1982 recognize researchers for their outstanding performance in scientific fields, for improving the understanding of human beings and their coexistence, and for promoting technology transfer and contributing to the progress of Humanity.
She looked polished in a dark blue maxi dress featuring long sleeves and an elegant asymmetric neckline adorned with a leather belt. She completed her stylish look with small silver earrings and a golden ring. The hair of the Letizia is very simple, but it gives her a beautiful appearance. All these mark her typical chic style as the queen always manages to look perfectly put-together and event appropriate. She is also a great example of how to make high-low dressing work on a day-to-day basis.
As a matter of fact, some little details on dresses can make a big difference. In this case, the leather belt and the minimalist jewelry completed the Queen’s look. Almarella also adds belts on dresses, for example on the new Marbella collection, as you may see on the pictures below. They make your outfit look complete. But, what does a belt symbolize? Wearing belts emphasizes pieces in your ensemble thanks to an amazing psychological trick. It´s a beautiful way to give your clothes more character. If you wear a belt, it represents eternity, loyalty, strength and protection. You also can wear a belt if you want to emphasize your waist. In today´s modern times, belts have transformed from a strictly useful item, to a fashion accessory. Let´s complete your outfit and show off your power.
